Little Big Planet and the future of games
Games have always been regarded as great examples of active entertainment. Audiences are not passive whilst playing games. Rather oddly there is little or not enough in the way of user made levels or customisation. In other words, gaming is lacking its own Youtube!
Given the ease of creating and sharing the game has spawned hundreds (if not thousands) of levels in the beta alone. Creations range from rocket carts to catapults to even a calculator. Sharing is much like Youtube! as in rate and browse effortlessly through many levels.
Little Big Planet however introduces a modern approach to building your own content and especially, sharing them. The game is divided into Play, Create and Share.

Upon entry into the beta first impressions were fantastic as you are introduced to Sackboys and Sackgirls. Stephen Fry's narration is brilliant and funny too. Overall the game has left me with optimism regarding the future of gaming.
In many ways Little Big Planet is already what Home was meant to be. There are already promotional levels of upcoming games in Little Big Planet. Users will be able to articulate what they like and give new insight into tastes of consumers in games. Much like what Youtube! was able to achieve.
In a new post i will showcase some great stages.
